Mandaps, Décor and General Hire

By payment of deposit and/or by allowing Diva Events (UK) Ltd participate in the listed events; the Customer as named overleaf enters into the Diva Events (UK) Ltd agreement. Accordingly, on behalf of the bride and groom, the Customer understands and agrees to the terms and conditions of this agreement, and accepts sole responsibility for payment of all money due under this agreement to Diva Events (UK) Ltd.

Under this agreement, Diva Events are appointed by the customer as the exclusive official mandap, décor and general hire company of the events. Any third parties decorating the event will be permitted only at the sole discretion of Diva Events.

Mandap, décor packages are delivered and set up at the venue address as stated by the customer. Set up is only included if stated on your quotation. Please ensure there is plenty of headroom and wide access to allow the Mandaps to be set up. If the venue does not have easy access for large vans or is above ground floor please request a site survey as additional charges may apply. Site surveys are charged by the hour. The following rates apply £30.00* per hour. (Time is charged for distance travelled as well as for the consultation period)

Any electrical items will be thoroughly checked to verify that everything is in working order before leaving the site. Please note any damaged or missing items will be charged to you in full.

If your quote includes delivery and collection this will be at the agreed times and that the customer states overleaf. Late charges will apply if our drivers are kept waiting for collections above the agreed time at the current rate of £100.00* per hour.

If your quotes include a delivery only without assistance then the customer will be required upon delivery to help unload and/or load. Please note the drivers will not load/unload items unless you have requested any additional help at time of order.

Certain items can be collected from out Leicester based warehouse free of charge. Please note assistance is not provided with loading or unloading.

If client is not present for delivery and signing off of props and installations no further claims will be entertained.

Deposit required to cover risk value.

Risk value is non negotiable.

In the event of loss/damage, risk value becomes immediately payable. In the case of any equipment inc. Mandap being damaged the value of the equipment/Mandap along with all other costs i.e. shipping/delivery, custom fees etc will become payable (An invoice will be issued for all costs).

Items not returned by agreed date are subject to pro rata extended hire charges. Please request a written quote.

Title at no time passes to hirer even if extended hire charges/cleaning charges exceed hire value.

No warranty is offered as to suitability for original use and no responsibility accepted for consequential loss to person or property.

Hire charge is payable even if items are returned as not used.

Mandaps and décor items are not new and will have signs of reasonable wear and tear.

Items to be returned in same condition and cleaned where necessary.

Hirer accepts all responsibilities and liabilities once collected items have left our premises or have been delivered by us to the delivery address.

All items to be kept away from heat sources. Flammable materials may have been used.

No claims accepted if hirer not present on return. Any diversion from the above must be made in writing prior to commencement. If client not present for delivery\collection no claims will be entertained for incorrect order or breakages.

Payments and deposits

Certain items will require deposits for breakages. This will be refunded once all items have been returned in the original condition.

Your quote will state all the details. Refunds will be issued by cheque made payable to the person placing the order only. 50% non refundable deposit will be required to confirm all orders above £500.00* with the balance to follow 4 weeks prior to event.

Orders less then £500.00* must be paid in full.

Amendments

Orders can be changed if we are notified in writing and subject to availability.

Colour variations

We cannot always guarantee that colour/shades will be exactly as requested but we will try our best to ensure colour matching on items as flowers, cakes or fabrics. Fabrics may vary in shades but we will try to ensure the closest match wherever possible.

Force majeure

In the unlikely event of damage to Mandaps and/or décor items we will endeavour to replace your order with items of equal or higher value on the day. In the event that we are delayed due to heavy traffic/vehicle breakdown or weather conditions that is out of our control we shall endeavour to meet the requested times but are not liable if we are unable to do so. Statutory rights are not affected.

Cancellations

All deposits are non refundable except refundable deposits.

Return policy

Hire items

Unfortunately hired goods cannot be refunded unless the product is either damaged prior to delivery/collection or the incorrect item has been delivered.

Consultations customers are more then welcome to call us to arrange a free consultation at our offices or to view our products at our warehouse at any time. You will need to book an appointment as we cannot guarantee you will be seen if you do not have one.
